Happiness forever
Dare to differentiate
"Reducing body attachment and increasing attachment to the Self is the true meaning of devotion. Attachment to body leads to pravritti (outward path), while attachment to the Self leads to nivritti (inward path). The combination of these is human life."

Being Near & Dear to God
As long as man is attached to the body, he cannot get over the desire to possess the objects that attract him. A man afflicted with the acquisitive impulse can never get rid of worries. To overcome this attachment and possessiveness, ancient sages tailored their educational system so that it promoted self-control. Self-control also developed humility and thus, humility became the true index of right education. Control of the senses is absolutely essential for achieving humility, and education must promote such control.
Today's educational system is concerned mostly with imparting bookish knowledge, and students seek education only as a means for earning a living. This link between education and employment has to be severed, and education must instead be transformed into the process of acquiring True Wisdom.
In life, there are two aspects that have to be considered, rights and duties. Most people are concerned only with their rights and engage in struggles to secure them. Seldom do they recognise their responsibilities. This is true of all fields of human activity - social, political, economic and even spiritual. Lack of self-control is responsible for all this.
Men should regard their senses as potential enemies and not allow senses to have their own way. They should be subject to one's control and direction. What is the easiest way to achieve this mastery? Only the spiritual path. If there is real faith and devotion in man, the senses would be powerless against him. It is the decline in faith and devotion that has led man to become a slave of the senses.
The prompting of intellectual reasoning should not be identified with the dictates of the Conscience. Rather, the directives should come from the Heart. When you dive deep into a problem and enquire whether what you do is in the interests of your friends and Society in general, your Conscience will give you the right answer
Man is made up of three constituents, the body, the Mind and the Atma. Man needs the body for performing actions. But, if the actions are done without using the discriminating power of the Mind, man would be behaving like an animal, which acts on impulse. Moreover, if the Mind, without relying on the eternal and ever pure Atma, follows the demands of the body and the senses, the actions would be demonic. Bereft of the influence of the Atma, the combination of the Mind and the body can lead to demonic qualities. However, when one is installed in the Atmic principle, transcending the body and the Mind, one attains the Divine.
Hence, sanctify all your words, thoughts and deeds. Make your Heart pure so that it becomes a worthy abode for the Divine.
Experience
So Ananda said, “Buddha, since you are my younger brother, it is your duty to obey me. After initiation, you shall become my Master and I shall be Your disciple. Then I will not be able to ask You for anything or command You. So let me ask You for some things now, before I get initiated.”
Buddha nodded and said, “As you please.” Ananda continued, “My first wish is that I should always be with you. You shall never talk to anyone in secret. You shall never send me away. Secondly, if I want you to meet anyone at any time of the day or night, you shall not refuse to do so. Lastly, you and I shall sleep in the same room. I want to be always with you. Don’t forget these wishes of mine."
When Buddha agreed to his preconditions, Ananda declared that he was ready to be initiated.
So Ananda became like a shadow to Buddha. Wherever Buddha went, Ananda was always by his side.
Many years later, one day Buddha declared, “It is time for me to depart now. By dusk tomorrow, I shall be gone. Call all the monks so that I can address them one last time.”
By dawn next day, all the monks returned and gathered around Buddha. There were about a thousand enlightened monks. All of them were calm and composed, no one was crying or in grief, except Ananda, who had lived each moment of his life in the shadow of Buddha’s physical body!
Ananda was really in anguish; he was shedding tears and was inconsolable. Buddha looked at Ananda and smiled. “Why do you cry Ananda? I didn’t break my promises to you. I fulfilled all your desires,” he said.
Ananda wailed, “What shall become of me? I breathed the same air as you did. I did everything that you did, but I have not attained the state of enlightenment. Without you, my life shall be hopeless. What shall I do without you?”
Buddha replied, “When you asked for three wishes, I knew that they would be a barrier to your spiritual progress, but you were not willing to forget that I was your younger sibling. You wanted to retain your privileges over others. Your surrender was conditional. Perhaps my death shall make it unconditional!”
Buddha left His mortal coil. All enlightened monks congregated in close proximity to recollect and recount the words of the great Master, so that they could be preserved for posterity. Ananda was not included in this congregation for emotionally he was a complete wreck. He was nowhere near enlightenment.
The monks realized that Ananda had attained enlightenment. They rejoiced! They welcomed him to their fold for it was Ananda alone, who could give the most accurate accounts of Buddha’s life, even though he had only been physically a part of it at that time.
Easy way Bliss
In the beginningless and endless stream of time, night and day, summer and winter roll endlessly on, carried ceaselessly through the Universe by the flood. The term of living beings diminishes with each passing day, yet while being carried forward in the flood of time, man remains surprisingly unaware of his fate and rarely spends a thought on his fast declining life-term. He is blind in his ignorance. Riches and wealth are short-lived; office and authority are temporary; the life-breath is a flickering flame in the wind; youth is a three-day fair and pleasures and fortunes are bundles of sorrow. Knowing this, if man devotes this limited term of life to the service of the Lord, then he is indeed blessed.
Seek refuge at the Feet of the Lord even before the life-breath flies out of the cage of the body. It is an open cage! At any moment, the bird may fly into the outer regions. That is the fact. The ignorant do not realize this; they beat their drums and proclaim proudly how rich they are or how happy they are, surrounded by their sons and grandsons.
Alas, the very physical frame which is so carefully nourished since birth falls aside and rots. What then shall we say of those who feel that these other things are “mine?” Theirs is but the delusion of an insane mind. Everything is untrue, everything is impermanent, no more than castles in the air or constructions in dreams. Contemplate on this truth and approach Sri Hari and glorify Him. That alone can confer on you permanent joy.
Inside the room called Body, in the strongbox called the Heart, the precious gem of jnana exists. However, four wily thieves – namely kama, krodha, lobha and asuya, or lust, anger, greed and envy – are lying in wait to rob it. Awake to the danger before it is too late; reinforce yourself with the support of the Universal Guardian, the Lord and keep the gem intact. That will make you rich in prema, rich in shanti.
When the clouds that hide the face of the moon are wafted by the winds, the moon shines clear and cool. So too, when the clouds of egoism are wafted away, the mind of man will shine pure and full with its own native light. That is the stage of Bliss. When that is attained, there is no more grief. Where there is a lamp, darkness cannot exist. The lamp of jnana once lit never dies, never fades, never flickers. Ananda and shanti also never fade and never flicker. But the ananda and the shanti that men seek from the objects of the world, driven by their senses, flicker fast, then fade and die. They satisfy for a moment only a foolish craze. They are attained through lust, anger, hate and envy, and so they are false and fickle. Control and conquer these; then only can you acquire true ananda and shanti. You cannot only acquire these, you can become these.
What do the wars of mankind teach, except this: that lust, anger, hate and envy are evil forces that haunt man. Examine the anarchy and the lawlessness, the chaos and killings that have arisen in the world today. They are the products of these forces.
Why, even the ills of your bodies and of your homes are but the consequence of these evils. Unaware of the faults and failings in oneself, man imputes faults and foists failings on others and starts blaming and hurting them. This is sin; this gives you a feeling of innocence and exultation for a while but cannot confer anything other than worry, grief and pain….
The Sastras (scriptures) say that envy, greed, lust and anger are all vyadhi karanam [sources of disease]. Those afflicted with these qualifies may consume the most healthy food but it will not bring them health. They will suffer from various digestive and nervous troubles.
Therefore, devotees and those aspiring to be liberated must cut asunder these evil tendencies with the sharp sword of jnana. They must pray to the Lord to save them from contact with these foul characteristics. From this very moment, pray for the grace which will enable you to control and conquer them. Deepen your faith in God. Expand your prema and take into its fold the whole of mankind. There is no alternative path for the bhakta (devotee).
Balancing life
From sunrise to sunset man today is steeped in selfish pursuits, and the problems of humanity stem from this selfishness. Man does not even live like a human. It is only when man becomes truly human, that he can experience the Divine. What you think exists is, truly speaking, not real. What you think does not exist, is the Reality. God is the only Reality and there is nothing in the world not pervaded by God. God is immanent in the entire Cosmos. The Universe does not exist apart from God.
In every object (padaartham) there is a Divine element (paraartham). Without this Divine basis, nothing can exist. In this Universe, there is no material object without a Divine basis, no living thing without the vital force and no inert substance without Consciousness.
It is usually supposed that the natural sciences are concerned only with matter, while metaphysics is concerned with things Spiritual. But the physical and the metaphysical are inextricably related to each other. The uniqueness of the Upanishads lies in proclaiming this basic unity. Many imagine that there is no connection between the physical world and the realm of the Spirit. This is a grievous mistake. The Divine is the base and the physical world is sustained by it. Thus, the Cosmos is the synthesis of these two, Spirit and matter.
To ignore the physical Universe and remain preoccupied with the Spirit is a form of narrow-mindedness. You have to develop the conviction that the Divine and the Universe are intimately interrelated. If the phenomenal world does not exist, one cannot understand anything nor cognize the Truth. The Universe is what helps in distinguishing the Real from the unreal. It is impossible to accomplish anything, if the world is discarded. Basing yourself on the physical world, you have to aspire for realizing the Divine. If you want to realize the Divinity in man, you have to first understand the nature of the human state.
The true goal of human life is to discover the cosmic unity of Consciousness and matter. The best way to achieve this is to lead a life of righteousness and to share the fruits of such a life with others. One's true goal should not change with time; moreover, one should pursue the goal with firm resolve. A righteous life develops Inner Vision, allowing one to perceive Unity in diversity.
In this Kali age, owing to the various perverse influences present, people are prone to ignore the prompting of Inner Conscience and act in response to external impressions. This is not correct. They must instead develop Inner Vision to achieve a balanced attitude to the world as merely perceived through the senses and the world as it really is, that is, as the ephemeral superstructure resting on the Eternal Divine Principle. One must learn to function in the world and yet not get bound by it - that is the meaning of balance.
Rush for Ultimate
The more one loves one's fellow beings, the greater would be the Bliss that one enjoys. The more you love others, the happier you would be. Therefore, if you wish to be constantly happy, you must always love all. Love is the Royal Path to God. The best way to God is to love all and serve all.
Everyone wants to be happy. Such a desire is natural and it springs from the fact that man's true nature is Bliss. Bliss is the Form of God but man does not understand that. He does not understand that he has originated from God, that life's undercurrent is God, and that his final destination also is God. Bliss should be the goal, and one must seek it in all earnestness. The human body is temporary; hence, the pleasure that it can give is also fleeting. One must therefore seek that which is permanent, that is God, or, what is the same thing, Bliss.
It is meaningless to seek Bliss by way of instruments such as the sense organs that are impermanent. The body can give only bodily pleasure, and the Mind can at best give mental satisfaction. But these do not represent Bliss; Divine Love alone is Bliss. This Love Principle is present not only in man but also in all beings, birds and beasts included. Therefore, one has to place the same value on the lives of all beings. Share the love latent within you with not only fellow human beings but also with all the creatures in Nature. That is the True Universal Love Principle. Such Principle alone should be the basis of one's life.
The Path of True Love alone can take you unfailingly to God and confer Permanent Bliss. Bodies may be different but the God within all bodies is the same. There is a man who is addressed as father by his son. The daughter-in-law calls him father-in-law, while the grandchildren call him grandfather. The individual is the same but the manner in which different people address him varies. Similarly the same God is given different names by the followers of different religions; they hail Him as Allah, Jesus, Rama, Krishna, Buddha, and so on. Though the names vary, God is one and the same. Therefore, there is really no room for dispute between people belonging to different religions. You may address God by the name of your choice but all calls go to the same destination. Goal is one and God also is one.
Scholarship will not protect or redeem you; only Pure Love can. Pure Love is like a well- paved, one-way road with no speed breakers. You can rush along it to God at whatever speed you want. Overcoming all obstacles, you must keep rushing towards God. That must be the characteristic of your spiritual journey.
Permanent Happiness for Sure
Who is the hero? God is the hero, while the world is a zero. So, you should make friendship with that hero. It is only the eternal nature of Divine Love, which is blemishless, selfless and pure, which can stand the test of true friendship. When you enjoy the proximity of such a friend, you will be free from fear even in the face of insurmountable difficulties.
Lack of faith is the cause of fear in man. So, cultivating faith in the Divine is the foremost task of man. Endowed with such faith, one can achieve success in every kind of task. What is the root cause of disturbance and restlessness in the world?
Due to their ignorance, people have lost
Fear of sin and love for God,
Resulting in the depravity of human nature.
What a blow to the cause of peace in the world!
Man today has made giant strides in all fields. But the progress he has registered can be compared to an electric wire without current, since he does not possess human values. Love of God has infinite power. Here is an example: People are coming to SAI from far off places in India and from different countries, spending a lot of money and time.
Why do they gather here? What is the reason? They find something here that they do not find in their family members, in friends, relatives, in the society they live in, and also in their countries. What do they find here? You find Love here. For the sake of experiencing Divine Love, all of you embark on long and arduous journeys.
But, if you make a thorough observation and investigation into the matter, you will be able to know that love is present within you only. In the Gita, Lord Krishna declared: Mamaivamso Jeevaloke Jeevabhutha Sanathana (the eternal Atma in every human being is a part of My Being). Hence, Divine Love is present in every individual. But the human being, unable to realize the truth that Love is present within himself, thinks that it is something separate or different from him and undertakes long journeys searching for Love. Know that the Divine is not different from you. Sarvata panipadam Tat sarvathokshi siromukham (That omnipresent Brahman has His hands, feet, eyes, and mouth everywhere).
Our Foremost Task is to Cultivate Sadgunas
To have a vision of God, who is omnipresent, you have to make certain enquiries. The Vedas proclaim that Brahman is all-pervasive. Easwara sarva bhutanam (the Divine is immanent in every being). Man should cultivate good qualities if he wants to realize the truth of these statements.
Without such qualities, man cannot realize even a fraction of the truth of the statement saryam khalvidam Brahma (verily all this is Brahman). Only by means of good qualities can one recognize the Divine, who is omnipresent. Cultivating good qualities is the basic tenet of devotion.
Inculcation of virtues, right attitude, adherence to truth, discipline, and sense of duty are the signs of devotion. Only those who develop these qualities can be called devotees.
Our foremost task is to cultivate sadgunas (good qualities). The Sanskrit word, sath stands for eternity, which is called Being. We should acquire the qualities of Being. What are these qualities? They are attributelessness, purity, steadfastness and enlightenment. It is not an easy task to acquire all these qualities.
However, there is one way out. Since all the virtues are embedded in pure, selfless, and divine love, if you develop love, all the virtues will manifest in you. The true nature of love should be cultivated to experience the Divinity latent in you.
God is the Resident of Your Heart
God is not different from you. He is not confined to places like temples, mosques, and churches. He is omnipresent. He is the resident of your heart. The body is the temple of God. So, you should strengthen the feelings of love within you. You do develop love, but it is based on bodily relations. You love your son, father, and mother.
You identify yourself with the body, so you direct your love towards those with whom you have a relationship at the physical level. You are not able to manifest the kind of love that is beyond name and form. Love has no form. It does not differentiate between young and old or man and woman. Love is love. It cannot be compared to anything else. Love is the very form of the Divine. Love is God. Live in love. How to do that?
Start the day with Love
Spend the day with Love
Fill the day with Love
End the day with Love
This is the way to God.
You can cultivate love in several ways. But, do not limit it to the bodily needs and relations. However, as long as you live in the world, you do need the warmth of relationship. You can wish for the welfare and progress of someone else. You can also share his/her happiness. But all these feelings are limited to the physical relationship, which is transient.
Man yearns for happiness in every act, in every kind of experience. Whether he does business or work in an office, his aim is to derive happiness. But does he find it? No. It is only a temporary phase as it is worldly happiness. He may be happy for a while, but permanent happiness is attained only by contemplation on God. So, contemplate on the Divine. You try to experience many things. Instead, experience the divine bliss, which is within you. That is the supreme bliss.
It is the very form of supreme wisdom.
It is one without a second.
It is expansive and pervasive like the sky.
It is eternal, pure and changeless.
It stands as a witness of everything.
Cultivate Divine Love
Divinity, like light, is the witness of everything. Its effulgence illuminates everything else. Where does it exist? We find santhi (peace) within asanthi (unrest). In the depth of the santhi (peace), there exists prakanthi (supreme splendor).
In this prakanthi, one can experience Param Jyothi (Divine Effulgence). Param Jyothi, in the form of Atma Jyothi (the light of the Atma) is within you. That is the light of non-duality and eternity, of immortality; that is the light of the Self.
Since you possess that light within yourselves, why should you be afraid of anything else? Why should you worry? Be happy. Where is happiness? How to experience it? Union with God is happiness.
Since you possess that light within yourselves, why should you be afraid of anything else? Why should you worry? Be happy. Where is happiness? How to experience it? Union with God is happiness. You should realize that Love is the form of God.
As long as Divinity, in the form of love, exists within you, unrest cannot reach you. But, these days, people are subjecting themselves to unrest and unhappiness by misinterpreting the nature of Love and by attributing to it certain impure feelings. It is a blunder. Know that Divine Love is unsullied, selfless, and pure. Without any hesitation you should try to acquire that Love. Strive to possess it.
Embodiments of Love! Strengthen love, saturate your lives with love and live in that Divine Love.

Great care
Loud talk, long talk, wild talk, talk full of anger and hate..all these affect the health of the person. They breed anger and hate in others. They wound, excite, enrage and estrange. When you are silent, you have the leisure and the chance to dive within and examine your failings and faults. You should have more inclination in finding your own, than to seek them in others. If your foot slips, you earn a fracture. If your tongue slips, you have fractured someone's faith or joy. That fracture can never be set right; that wound will fester for ever. Therefore, use the tongue with great care. The softer you talk, the less you talk, the sweeter you talk, the better for you and the world.
"Silence is golden. The silent person has no enemies".
As the food so the mind
Mind your business
The mind is responsible for both bondage & liberation of human being.
Hence, the mind is highly sacred and powerful. Due to lack of understanding of the power of the mind, people are not able to grasp the glory and majesty of GOD.
So, the real business is to master the mind to be a mastermind.

Desires
The lesser the desires, the greater will be the will power. The body has death but not the mind. The mind is responsible for everything. So, fill your mind with pure & selfless thoughts.
Then you will attain the state of illumination mind. Gradually you will cross illumination mind & attain over mind. This is known as non-existence of mind. Once the mind is withdrawn, only the principle of Atma exists.( only The Super consciousness exists).

Greatest adventure being Human
Whence did you come ? from Atma.
Where are you going ? To Atma, itself.
How long can you be here ? Until you merge with the Atma.
Where are you now? in the unreal, the ever-changing. In evanescent tasks.
Therefore, what should you do hereafter?
Give up these & try these-----To enter the eternal, to engage in never changing tasks, and to enjoy Bliss of Atma. This must be the chief effort of the Jivi, its perpetual aim, the "Greatest Adventure in the World".
all other tasks are humdrum, they glitter a moment and vanish. You will realise this Truth if you turn your back on them and watch, wisely.

Bliss within
Having taken birth as a human being, one has to realise the Divinity within. The primary duty of every individual, as a messenger of God, is to practice and propagate the principles of truth, love, and peace and to experience the bliss within and share it with others. The one who propagates the worldly, fleeting, and ephemeral matters cannot be called a Messenger of God. The one who loves God is the Messenger of God. The one whom God loves is the Son of God. The one who understands the principle of unity becomes one with God.
